CURRENTLY

I am studying a diploma in specialist makeup services at the Australasian College Broadway (TACB).

The Australasian College Broadway supplies students with a makeup handbook, makeup kits (special effects and basic makeup) consisting of foundations, powders, mascaras, eyeliners, lip liners and eyeshadows to fake blood, wax, spirit gum and a bruise wheel.

What had drawn me to TACB was the different range of units to study, despite looking around at many different makeup institutions. Their course covers production, business, creative thinking/design and of course hair and makeup.  I personally never saw myself as a hair dresser and chose to not do a hair dressing course along with my makeup course but the specialist makeup services diploma also gives you a base for hair dressing that you as an artist can build and develop on. Another perk of doing makeup at TACB is that it is essential to complete a set number of hours of work experience, and that TACB gives amazing opportunities for students to participate in.

I have been at TACB for about 6 months and now feel I have come to the stage where I am able to start establishing myself in the makeup industry.
